Backgrounds, Logos, and Fonts. Oh My.

This is the first showcase of many, most likely, as I enjoy posting recent works on my blog.

Graphics have become huge in the last couple decades, bringing with it a surge of Graphic Artists and Designers. However, I fear that with the present economic situation, graphics will once again fall back into the limelight of the unaffordable. Still, since I live in Alberta, the safest place to be in the Americas at this point, I have high hopes for the future.

You would not believe how easy this was to make. If you have Adobe photoshop you can make this in about ten minutes. You may notice that I used it in my blog header. It's actually free as long as you leave the watermark alone, so feel free to download it.

This Logo was made from scratch. I didn't use any fonts , but rather created the font myself.
I'm actually quite happy with the way it turned out. CorelDraw is soooo cool. Once you get use to it, there's so much you can do.

Again with this logo, I used CorelDraw to create the "O" and the "Z" from scratch, then used photoshop to create the effects. The result is a clear cut logo with a very elegant look.

I'm almost finished my short story "Mannequins". It should be finished by the end of the week, and hopefully I'll be able to start circulating the first alpha tests. We'll see what happens after.
In addition, I have to decide wether I'll get involved in the leadership of 'Terminal Refuge' or not.

Stay Cool!

A Fool's Initiation

I come in peace.

After two and a half years of blogging on Xanga, I have finally got annoyed enough with them to create another blog. Originally, when I started with Xanga, it was a company with high ideals. But as time passed, so did the quality of its service.

What really got to me were the annoying ads that were on every site and also the plugs. Plugs are small little squares that advertised other peoples' xanga blogs. In itself, not necessarily a bad idea, but soon there was zillions of ads, with incredibly annoying pictures, and even more innane taglines. Soon people were advertising themselves because they could, not bothering to consider wether they should.

Blogger is a unique service in that it doesn't pay for itself using ads. Personally, I find that a very positive point in Blogger's favor, and thus, my blog.

Alea Iacta Est!
